Liu Yandong Meets with President of Chamber of Deputies Jesus Zambrano Grijalva of Mexico

On August 9, 2016 local time, Vice Premier Liu Yandong met in Mexico City with President of the Chamber of Deputies Jesus Zambrano Grijalva of Mexico.

Liu Yandong expressed that China-Mexico relations have entered a new phase of all-round and rapid development since the two heads of state announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013 during President Xi Jinping's state visit to the country. China and Mexico have maintained frequent high-level exchanges and close communication and cooperation in various fields. My visit to Mexico this time aims to further enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation in such areas as education, science, technology, culture and health, and increase mutual understanding and the friendship between the two peoples. The Chinese government will continue to support both legislative bodies to strengthen exchanges and cooperation and play a constructive role in advancing China-Mexico comprehensive strategic partnership.

Jesus Zambrano Grijalva noted that Ms. Vice Premier has conducted extensive contacts and exchanges with all walks of life in Mexico and reached specific cooperation consensus in education, culture and other fields during her visit this time, which is conducive to further consolidating and boosting bilateral relations. The Chamber of Deputies of Mexico is willing to strengthen exchanges with the National People's Congress of China and actively push forward friendly cooperation between both countries. Enhanced exchanges and mutual learning between Mexico and China, as two models of harmonious coexistence of diversified cultures, will not only help their own reform and development, but also help promote a harmonious and inclusive world civilization.
